  • 3.0 Good place to work posted on May 20, 2008

Clearwire offers a very flat organizational structure so its pretty easy to get ideas pushed through management until a decision is taken. There is great teamwork and genuine sense of desire to succeed. Really cool technology that will have a monstrous impact in the wirless industry. I've been empowered to do what is necessary to get the job done. Good place to work overall.

  • 4.0 Set up for Success and Opportunity posted on May 20, 2008

Clearwire is a great place for developers to impact change bringing ideas forward and taking applications to the next level. There are organizational challgenges related to the joint venture with Sprint but this currently offers a tremendous opportunity for leadership given being poised for explosive growth.

  • 1.0 Heading for Big Problems posted on April 29, 2008

Full of very young PHP developers who think they know much more than they do. We (the Java devs) had to explain to the lead web developer what a database transaction was for openers. Mark Carlson is a pretty good guy and they've made some good hiring decisions - they are trying - but the big problem for me was that the management just doesn't seem to have the will or knowledge necessary to scale the business up to the 5 million customers they're hoping for more...

  • 1.0 What a disaster! posted on January 12, 2008

I don't know where to start. If you like working long hours with crappy pay and benefits this is the place for you. As an added bonus you'll enjoy a terrible working relationship between dev, test and PM. Lots of blame game and finger pointing to go around. Everything at this company is totally bush league. To top it off, management doesn't want to spend money because they're praying to get bought out.
