Six more layoffs yesterday

In September 07, RightMinds laid off 4 employees. Six more got the can yesterday (May 08). It's funny that their website shows openings for 5 positions. The CEO likes to present the impression that the company is successful and growing. The company is good at selling themselves and overcharging their clients. That's not the kind of company than anyone would want to work with (clients or employees).
I would NOT recommend this employer to anyone in any more... -

The two managers in question, Web & IT, are absolute control freaks with deep trust issues. (It's no wonder that they now hate each other and won't even speak.) Sadly these two managers are entrenched and will never be removed, no matter what they do. And no person working under these two will ever be able to grow and shine because their management style is to make their underlings look bad in order to make themselves look good. Compound this with their more...

Until things change, I can't recommend working for web at Rightminds.
I used to feel sorry for our v.p. She'd tell me sob stories about how she had to come in over the weekend to fix other people's work. She made my co-workers sound like undedicated slackers. Then I found out she was saying the same thing about me.
Communication here is awkward at best. She wants to be copied on every email. Yet she complains about how many of them she has to read. more... -

I think that it's utterly despicable that this company would try to post a good rating amongst unanimously bad reviews. Trying to improve work conditions would probably be asking too much. I've never worked with such a group of inexperienced and narcissistic before in my life. Shame on you RightMinds! The words of employees speak volumes about a company. As a marketing firm, you should understand this. Your upper management are flawed and too senile to more...

We just lost another person who could've done the company some good, but was never used properly. Sad.
The head of web and the head of IT are micromanaging martyrs. They don't let you sneeze without permission, then they criticize you for sneezing wrong. Then they stay at work all night making recordings of themselves sneezing, so they can play it back for you the next morning and show you what a real sneeze is supposed to sound like. Then they pout for more... -

Based upon my previous experience RightMinds is a great place to work. The environment is always buzzing with activity and ideas. There are only restrictions on creativity based on the company's budget or the funding that the customer provided. As far as I am concerned, there is not anything bad about RightMinds. The employers and higher staff members are friendly and coworkers are accepting and willing to share your ideas. The company is not a bad place more...

NEVER, NEVER EVER take a job at WrongMinds.
They are awful to work for! I've never worked
somewhere where you weren't allowed to talk
to other people....yep. No talking in a creative
enviroment - but, that's pretty typical there....
This site makes you give a star....I wouldn't give
them one if I had a choice...so for me, 1 star

Through a dozen internships, 3 professional positions, and countless freelance jobs, this company holds the distinction of the only company I've ever hated working for. Egos reign supreme and innovation is a taboo. Code didn't have to be functional or elegant as long as it was formatted property, and conformed to an undefined convention.
The web development department was run like an elementary school class to the point that the other developers and I referred more... -

I worked there for a year and a half, the web department grew exponentially during my tenure however the hiring process was based off of the personal like or dislike of the VP of Web (who I reported directly too). My boss is the extreme micro-manager demanding that things be done in only way whether it works or not. If there is success they take the glory since they are the only one who is allowed to make decisions, and if the project hits any roadblocks they more...
